On the second-to-last day of the KDIAF, we are fortunate to invite Mr. Eric Chang from Reallusion to share with us the impact of 3D animation software and motion capture technology on the international stage. Eric brought valuable insights into this field and discussed how to play a crucial role in the global animation industry, providing us with a deeper understanding and insight.

Firstly, Eric introduced us to the Reallusion brand. Reallusion's products focus on character animation and character creation, offering multifunctional tools such as modeling, texturing, rigging, and sculpting, which can be directly imported into other software, demonstrating its convenience.

Eric further explained that through continuous innovation, Reallusion has expanded its face tool technology from the original 60 lines to the current 140 lines, allowing users to present more expressions and facial dynamic details, and finely portraying the emotional performance of characters. This ongoing product innovation has made Reallusion a leader in the field of character animation and creation.

During the lecture, Eric shared Reallusion's brand and his marketing experience, highlighting Reallusion's excellence in innovation and customer interaction. The profound insights from the lecture have sparked everyone's passion for 3D animation, and we look forward to more inspiration in the future.

I’m a French VFX / Post-Production Supervisor and a Technical Director.

About twenty years ago I was working at Mikros Image, at this time one of the finest post production studio in Paris as a VFX and post production generalist on live action feature films, mostly french films, french comedies you do never heard of. One day in 2006 they send me in Switzerland working on Max&Co. You do not have heard of this one too but that was one of the very early stop-motion movie to be shot not on film but with a fully digital pipeline. I discovered the crazy world of stop-motion and I really enjoyed it !

Since then I do mostly stop motion and I’ve been very lucky working with crazy talented people, including Kim, on some successful projects like my Life as Courgette, Isle of Dogs, Pinocchio, The Inventor and lately Asteroid City.
