KuanDog Awards

The Kuandu International Animation Festival provides a platform for animators to showcase and promote their works. Selecting works from the entries helps vitalize the animation industry and encourages discourse between domestic and international animators. It also provides Taiwanese animators the valuable opportunity to learn from and compete with other creators for the selections and awards in this international competition.

The KuanDog Prize is undoubtedly the most essential and meticulously planned aspect of the festival. There are six prizes this year: the Best Animated Short Film Award, the Best Student Film Award, the Taiwan Special Award, the Taiwan Student Award, the Best Promising Score Award, and the Honourable Mentioned Award. To help push Kuandu International Animation Festival (KDIAF) onto the broader world stage, they designed the international competition program, welcoming exceptional animation creators and directors worldwide to learn about this festival organized by the Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). KDIAF has become one of the most influential animation festivals in Taiwan. Being a part of TNUA's Kuandu Arts Festival further promotes the animated arts while learning to evolve with the other artistic events.
