• How AI's learning capabilities are utilized to apply one's own artistic style to animation production.
• The ways in which MK has been implementing AI in animation production, and the new AI applications currently being explored in animation.

Speaker 2:TaiYu Liao/ Director

TaiYu Liao serves as a director, screenwriter, character designer, and art director. His animated short “Rhymes" was nominated in the animation category at SIGGRAPH 2010 in the United States. Since 2018, he has been actively participating in international animation market exhibitions and serving as a mentor for new talents in the Animation Effects Association. In 2020, the screenplay for "CEMACEMAS" was nominated for the 42nd Best Screenplay Award in Taiwan. In 2021, he founded MK Origin Studio, launching the original animation brand "CEMACEMAS" targeted at the Western market, and successfully brought its short animation "CEMA," the comic "SARAY," and the series "PURINGAU" to the international stage. In recent years, Liao Daiyou has been devoted to researching how artificial intelligence (AI) can be applied in animation production, collaborating with the industry to enhance efficiency and quality.

Music Creation:
Lyrics Creation: AI assists in lyric creation using models like GPT. By inputting keywords or themes, AI can generate corresponding lyrics.
Music Generation: AI composition tools like Suno AI can be used to create music. These tools automatically generate melodies, harmonies, and arrangements.

Visual Creation:
Image Generation: AI image generation models, such as DALL·E and Midjourney, can be used to create visual materials that match the lyrics or emotional tone of the music. Unique images are created based on simple text descriptions.
Storyboard Creation: Use LTX Studio to create storyboards, which can even synchronize sound effects.
Animation Creation: For dynamic effects, AI animation tools like Runway ML, Luma, or Klings AI, or GAN technology can be used to generate animations. These tools can turn static images into animations or directly create visuals with movement.

Speaker 3:Birdnest, Principal of Birdnest AI Art Academy

Birdnest is a designer, photographer, and AI-generated content creator, who has organized and judged 9 major AI-generated competitions in Taiwan. To date, they have participated in over 170 AI-related lectures, events, and workshops. In 2022, they became the first Taiwanese artist to win an international art creation award for AI-generated work. In 2023, they completed 90 AI-generated lectures and events (300+ hours). On April 27, 2024, they initiated the Taiwan AI Generation Competition (Birdnest Cup).
