Mitch Lin is a Taiwanese composer with a Master’s degree in Film Scoring from New York University and currently serves as a Lecturer at the Institute of Music, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. Specializing in cinematic orchestral music, his compositions often feature evocative melodies and harmonies combined with versatile orchestration techniques to capture atmosphere and emotion. He integrates digital instruments, synthesizers, and piano performances as essential elements in his work.Mitch has composed and produced music for numerous films, TV series, and theatrical productions. His notable works include the score for the HBO original series “The Accidental Influencer,” Taipei Film Festival's Best Animation “Grand Adventure Railroad,” the animated film “Impurrfection,” a selection at the Chicago International Film Festival, and the American Student Academy Award Silver Medal-winning documentary “Fairy Tales.” He also scored “Black Sheep,” featured at the Kaohsiung Film Festival, the feature film “Your Love Song,” the Golden Harvest Award-winning short film “One to Ten,” the PTS original short film “Gift of All,” and the teaser trailer for “Little Big Women.” Additionally, he served as the music producer for “Rendez-vous avec Pol Pot” (Meeting with Pol Pot), a Taiwan-France co-production that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. His theatrical works include “Chance Change Challenge” for Ku & Dancers and productions like “The Robot and the Cat” and “Tree of Life 2: The Ocean of Breath” for the New Children's Dance Theater.
