The Department of Animation at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) was established in 2011 with the goal of cultivating professional animation artists and expanding the development of Taiwan’s animation film and series industries.

The department actively engages in collaborative education programs with renowned animation schools in Taiwan and abroad, aiming to nurture talents with a global perspective.

To date, the department has reached its 16th cohort and has produced a wide range of animated works. Through the annual Kuandu International Animation Festival, student works are showcased and shared with broader audiences, serving as a platform for public presentation and exchange.
